Sparkling / Pygmy Gourami (M)
The Sparkling Gourami (Trichopsis pumila), also known as the Pygmy Gourami, is a jewel of the nano aquarium world. Despite its small size, this species boasts intense iridescent blue-green scales, striking jewel-like eyes, and fine red spots along its body and fins.
Fascinatingly, Sparkling Gouramis are famous for making audible clicking or "croaking" sounds during courtship or territory defense. Completely peaceful, they are perfect for planted nano tanks and micro-community setups.
