How to feed a betta
- How much
- 2–4 quality pellets once or twice a day. A betta's stomach is about the size of its eye — overfeeding causes bloating and dirty water.
- Variety
- Rotate a staple pellet with frozen or freeze-dried treats such as bloodworm or daphnia a couple of times a week.
- Fasting
- One fasting day a week helps digestion and prevents constipation.
- Leftovers
- Remove anything uneaten after two minutes so it doesn't foul the water.
