How are bettas delivered?
Two ways: free collection from us in East London, or Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed — next-day, heat-packed, anywhere in the UK. Food-only orders go by tracked post for £4.99.
What happens when my betta arrives?
Keep the lights off and the room quiet, float the sealed bag or box in your tank for 15–20 minutes to match the temperature, then open it and add about 60 ml of tank water every 5 minutes for 30–45 minutes. Net your betta into the tank — never pour the transport water in.
What should I do if there's a problem on arrival?
Message us on WhatsApp straight away with photos or a short video and your order reference — every delivery is covered by our live arrival guarantee and we'll sort it with you personally.
What tank size does a betta need?
A single betta needs 19 litres (5 gallons) or more, heated to 24–28 °C with a gentle filter. Bowls and tiny cubes under 10 litres swing in temperature and pollute fast.
My tank isn't cycled yet — can I still buy?
Yes. Buy now and we'll hold and care for your betta free of charge for up to 3 weeks while your tank cycles, with photo updates along the way.
How do I acclimate my new betta?
Lights off, float the bag 15–20 minutes, then add small amounts of your tank water (about 60 ml every 5 minutes) for 30–45 minutes so pH and hardness change gradually, and net the fish in.
Can I collect instead of paying for delivery?
Yes — collection in East London is free, and it's charged once for the whole order no matter how many fish you take.
How much do your bettas cost?
Bettas start from £10. Every listing shows its own price, photos and details, and you can buy online and pay by card.
Can bettas live with other fish?
Many can, with the right peaceful companions like shrimp, corydoras and snails in a big enough tank.
